I wasn't able to locate any threads on this, but I've noticed that any time in my most recent Spain game, when the AI tries to unite their federation into a single unified country, the game crashes the next day. It's happed with two different federations so far, at around 80 years apart. The only solution I've found so far is tagging over to the leader of the federation, console-annexing the natives involved, and tagging back. The last message in error.log that gets generated during a CTD from this is "[province.cpp:12086]: Attempting to remove tribal land from a non-native country:" and then the tag of the federation leader.
Edit: To clarify, it *might* specifically have to do with saving right before the country in question actually finishes annexing the other members? Either that or something to do with how tribal land works.
