Hello fellow mayors,

I have been having issues with Cities since mid December but didn't start looking into it until now. The game would crash whenever I tried to start a new map or load any of my old saves. I would get the Windows 10 box that said "Cities.exe has stopped working" and the game would close. Naturally since I have tons assets/mods from the Steam Workshop, I assumed that one of them was causing the crash, and after disabling all content the game loaded and worked just fine. Is there any way to look at the crash report or something to see what mod/asset is causing the issue? It would be a lot easier than going through the over 100 files and turning them off one at a time. I also know the date the issues started so if there is a way to look at the files I added based on date it would make my life a lot easier. Thank you for your help.

Mike

Yes, reading though your output_log.txt file in many (though def. not all cases) tends to point toward the problem area\mod.

Thanks @KnightHawkTFC. I was able to fix it. Outdated/dead mods from before the 1.6 (ND) update were the root cause. However my UI comes up all pixelated now. Like a grid/checkerboard of squares. And I got a report on broken assets too but I have no idea what the numbers associated with them correspond to. Any suggestions for that?

EDIT: I was able to find the pages for the corresponding asset numbers.
