Crash to Desktop on Opening Screen

I have been trying to start a new game for the past week, but the program keeps crashing on the "Initialising" screen, sometimes quickly, but sometimes after several minutes. The crash reporter also fails, saying "upload failed for unknown reason" or similar.

I have tried numerous fixes found on the forums, but with no success. I've attached my entire Crashes folder, settings, and a DxDiag file I have seen asked about in other threads. Any help would be appreciated.

Orange_Trainer_1.2.exe is a 'trainer' ie cheat app, is that right? Certainly unload that, probably uninstall it. Does that help?

You should also update that nVidia driver to this month's one

I don't see any other reason for this problem in those files!

No it isn't, it's a completely unrelated program that has also refused to start recently, and I'm honestly surprised it even showed up here.

Thanks, for some reason GeForce Experience has been throwing a tantrum every time I try to update my driver (I now realise my system is full of minor technical trouble), but this way seems to have successfully updated.

I've restarted and werified my game files (again), but crashes are still occurring and refusing to upload. I've attached the crash reports for those here.

Updated all my drivers of all kinds, and even googled the technical terms found in the error message hoping for some solution.

Turns out my Nvidia game overlay was the problem, and it hadn't actually been turned off. Game launches fine now.

Hmmm, haven't come across that with this game - with any game in fact - before. Might add that to the panoply of possible fixes!

But perhaps you have an issue with nVidia software or hardware. you could try uninstalling with this tool

then install the latest again.
