Summary

Crash to desktop on specific date (repeatable)

Description

When the game advances to January 2, 1270. it crashes to desktop. The Pope announced a Crusade on January 1, and thinking that perhaps too much was being processed - I am also in the middle of a very large war - I paused and completed all the starting tasks related to that event. The crash persisted. So I tried reducing all of my graphical settings, just in case it was a question of resources. But it still crashed. EDIT: After posting this report I also tried switching characters and advancing the day, but that also crashed.

Edit #2: The crash logs contained references to very old saves, using the mod Elder Kings 2, so I deleted those saves and tried to advance the day again. The game still crashed, but the log files are now slimmer at least.

Edit #3: Noticed that even without mods and verifying the game, the checksum was still listed as Modified. I uninstalled the game, deleted any remaining files in the Documents folder, Steam folder, and the workshop folder in Steam. I then reinstalled the game and made another attempt, it still crashed. I have added a second save file (labeled "a" in other files) that crashes with the correct checksum.

The save game once had the mod "Stuck Tournaments Fix (1.9.0.3)" installed, but it was not used and I removed it when the game updated to 1.9.0.4.

Rolling back to an earlier save is a functioning workaround, so maybe it's just a given event that is broken, and reloading means a different event was rolled.

Steps to reproduce

1. Load attached save game.
2. Advance one day.

Game Version

1.9.0.4

Hello there! Thank you for the report. We are aware of the fact that the playthrough has already been running for several hundred years, but it cannot contain any mods from the beginning in order for us to be able to reproduce this issue. Please let us know if this issue also occurs in the playthrough without mods!

Hey, we haven't received any more information regarding this issue, as such, we will lock down the thread, if you happen to stumble upon the same issue on the newest patch, then please report it once more!
