Hey everyone,

First I have all the dlc's
Current version 2.1.4
I am able to load to the main screen with no problems.
Once I pick a country to play it gets about half way through adapting history then I crash to desktop.
Was loading Sparta but I tried other countries and did the same thing.
I tried beta 2.1.5.5 and got in with no problems except its a crash fest.
Not sure if the crashes with the beta are from it or the mod.
Any help would be nice the little bit I got to play your mod I really liked.

Thanks

what's your computer specifications? the mod sadly needs far more than 2GB of RAM in case that's your issue.
also, have you tried disabling the LI-BLC if you downloaded it?

Not sure what LI-BLC is.

you certainly don't have PC technical issues
LI-BLC is the submod that makes use of the portrait DLC material. I guess it's kinda not very visible I see :p

you're using the front-page release (v6J1), yes? could you tell me the checksum, so that we could verify if some files got messed up.

Yes, using v6J1
not sure if this is what you need

the checksum is the four-letter code encircled. if you're using the beta, it should be the same as the one in the screenshot. if it's not, then there's something different with your copy (maybe you edited something, maybe you accidentally mis-installed something?)

odd. I thought you were using the 2.1.5.5 beta?

(that said, does anyone have ideas? I mean, I know LI right now is quite fond of CTDing indeed, but this seems to be a different matter)

2.1.5.5 (YZLP)
Here is the one for beta
Should I reinstall?
yes, do try it. there's something different with our copies

to confirm if we have the same mod-folder, the Lux Invicta folder should be Size: 740,345,088 bytes (or Size on disk: 767,193,088 bytes) when right-clicking and checking properties

Did a clean install and size matches but the checksum is still 2.1.5.5 (YZLP).
Still crashes when I load a country in 2.1.4 though.
Not sure why we don't match.
Thanks for the help. Ill let you know if anything changes.

Try completely deleting the Lux Invicta folder and reinstalling it. There might have been old files that weren't overwritten.

that's odd.
I have all DLC activated in my launcher, and I only have Lux Invicta (the v6j1 release version) activated, at the time I took my screenshot.

Can you right-click the folder and click the properties? compare the exact sizes and see if they're the same. If they aren't, you're either missing or have an extra file or two for some reason.

you mentioned you're able to play the game. how long are you able to play the game before it crashes?

Got around 20yrs without a crash, still crashes on country select on non-beta.
Size: 706 MB (740,345,088 bytes)
Size on disk: 731 MB (767,193,088 bytes)
Size is matching.
Now the checksum is 2.1.5.5 (WZKO) no idea why it is changing.
I am using the steam version of the game not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Double check to make sure you don't have any other mods checked in the launcher.

im getting the same ctd. Everything loads up fine, until i pick my character and hit play, then as it loads it gets halfway through then crashes. i have a clean install of CK2 with all DLCs and downloaded LI v6J1

I am having the same problem. Is there any kind of fix atm?

I had a similar problem:
At the first installation of the last version of the mod, it crashed during the "adaptating history" loading phase.
I did a second installation, taking care of not "disturbing" it by doing something else in the same time. The game was very slow, and I had constant Runtime errors (and the saves looked broken, which caused me to deleter them... Shame on me.).
I did a third installation, and now the game works fine (without BLC), and even really fast I should say.

So it seems that there is a problem with the installation... I don't know anything about that, but maybe there are too much files for a safe installation via a compressed archive. If I remember correctly, the AGOT mod and the Elder Kings mod have a dedicated installer...
