Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me. I'm running the corporate edition of WINDOWS XP. I've recently purchased EU2 and installed it. The installation goes without problems. Once I try starting the game, I get a black screen. I tried letting it go for as long as it could want but then I ctrl+alt+del and end EU2. Then some video is activated. But the video soon crashes. I've tried updating with all the patches. I've re-installed the program many times. I don't know what to do. My system is an AMD Athlon 1000mhz, with 512 MB of PC133 Ram with a Asus GeForce3 V8200 Deluxe. If you can provide any information whatsoever, that would be appreciated.

Thanks

I just got on here to ask about the exact same problem you are describing. I just get a blank screen after startup and get the silly promotional video thing when I close with the task manager. I guess this doesn't help either of us, but at least we both know we aren't the only ones. I am running Windows NT also, but on a P4.

See the running problems thread, your problem is described there, it's the BinkPlayer video app that is crashing on start (it's not compatible with XP).

Simply rename your AVI folder to AVI_OLD and it should do the trick.
