Crash when conquering Denmark

Hello,

I have HOI2: Doomsday v. 1.0 (LADS)

I just downloaded it a couple days ago. I've been playing as Germany and have tried both the 1936 and 1939 scenarios. The problem I'm having is that the game crashes at the point it is about to tell me that Denmark has accepted my demands. It does this every time. I've tried to save the game just beforehand and re-run it from the save, but it crashes every time.

Here's my system information:

OS: MS XP Professional
Computer: HP 6510b laptop
Memory: 2 GB
Processor: Intel 1995 MHz
Sound: Soundmax Integrated HD Digital Audio
Graphics: DirectX 9.0

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Dear god, please install the patches! Running an 1.0 version of a Paradox game more than three weeks after its release is masochism.

HoI2 Doomsday 1.3a Patch

The bug you are suffering from has been fixed with some of the earlier patches. The 1.3a is the state-of-the-art for doomsday. If you want all bugs to be fixed plus a better intelligence system plus many new features, get Armageddon (for only $4,95 from www.gamersgate.com ) and install the Arma 1.3beta2 patch.

Thanks for the link. That solved the problem.

Does Arma change the tech tree (again)?

Is the AI that much better than DD? I'm finding the AI to be really, really stupid in DD (and before that in HOI2). Playing as Germany I've gotten it so that by the end of '41 I will have captured Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad. Sometimes I have captured Baku and Sverdlovsk by the end of '41. This is playing with the AI setting at "Furious."
