Have you tested this on different saves or is there some specific save that crashes? If it is just one could you post it here for the devs to look at please?
i tryed the auto saves as well they crashed. i will upload the save but which folder are they in
Should be somewhere in /My Documents/Paradox/CK2 or such. I can't check right now what is the exact location sorry. But it has changed to your windows documents folder from the folder where the actual game is.
Were the autosaves from the same game as the one that crashed? If you start a new game and save, can you load that save?

I relied on autosave first game. It worked the first time. Next time, later on, it crashed to desktop consistently on both autosaves I tried, including after a system reboot. There is a brief hourglass after clicking, then normal mouse and back to Windows. It is running 1600x1200 in a window that is almost full screen.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the game's installed in the Program Files (x86) folder?
Started a new game and its -3-day save looked like it was loading, the autoserve did not.
The problem in this save is apparently that if you have marked any character to be of interest, the game will crash when you try to load it. A very serious bug, thank you for uploading the save. A fix will b in the next patch.
Is it going to be a hotfix in a few hours or a regular patch within a few day?
Only asking if i should start a new game or wait a bit...
It's not going to be a hotfix within a few hours, we want to let our QA verify the patch before releasing it to the public. Go ahead and play a new game, just don't use the 'mark character interest' feature and you should be fine.
I also experienced this (the same reason I guess), is there any way to manually repair the save game?
Yes, delete all instances of these:
message_interest = {
....
}
no_message_interest = {
....
}
I've (rarely) seen loading saves crash even though I didn't use the "mark interest" feature. They were autosaves, so they're unfortunately overwritten. If this happens again, I'll upload the save.
I just ran into the same thing. Funny thing is that I had no problem loading a saved game earlier today, and I'm pretty sure I had someone marked as a person of interest.
I didn't mark any characters as interesting, but it does frequently crash when I select my savegames.
