Crash when Quitting

When I do F10->Surrender->Quit, it goes to the screen of the GP rankings for a second, then Victoria closes instead of going back to the menu. Any ideas on how I could stop this?

Are you running any mods? I had this problem after trying a new mod out. I repaired the program and didn't have the problem anymore.

Does it happen every time that you play or just once in a while? Maybe once in fifteen for me with Vicky or EUII, so unless I loaded a game and exited simply to give me a new RNG seed (with EUII) it seems to be more of a minor irritant than a big problem. BTW, if you rename the .avi file you do not have to be treated to the intro movie every time that you load.
