Hi everyone,

Sorry for my english, i'm from belgium ! So i Buy Crusader King 2 on steam one month ago and I contact technical support of steam but nothing change !

I explain my problem :

When I start the game all is ok, I play a new or save game but suddenly, I have a big freeze with black screen; Impossible to come back on desktop of windows, all is blocked and i have to resart my computer. This problem come after 5 min or 20 min after playing game... Its really bored !

I check all my drivers ok, and i follow all advice of steam but my problem is still there. I receive also a key from steam but where i have to registred her ?

You may have an overheating problem. Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU) 1/ before starting the game up and 2/ after say 20 minutes' play. If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, Google for and install SPEEDFAN.

Also please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload).

Ok, I understand, that's my Nvidia graphic card who is up to 98°C !!! But with other games like Civ5 or Total war i don't have problem like this ? It is possible to reduce or delete some elements of map to remove this problem ? thanks a lot for answer i
 
You can use Speedfan to control fans. But what I'd suggest is using fraps to control your frame rate, as some people have reported the game running at silly frame rates in the 100s. Dial down the frame rate to 60 or even 48 and see if that helps.
 
Can you please check in your nVidia software whether VSync is disabled? If so please enable it and try the game again. Thank you.
