Hi there,

unfortunately after the last update my game crashes between 50-70% progress of the loading game. It is a fresh save. I tried file verification, a fresh install and manually nuked all folders under documents/paradox interactive/stellaris but the problem persists. I have no idea what to do anymore. The crashlog is empty so I cannot upload it.

I already tried to disable fullscreen optimization but it did not work.

Thanks for the help in advance!

In the launcher Game Settings menu, select the fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.

If that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/exceptions.log

Problem persists. Error log empty. :(

For some reasons I cannot attach the dxdiag.txt here. Is there another way I can send it to you? It shows no errors though.

That seems to be a recent bug in the forum, no idea what triggered it. Rename it to say dxdiag.log .

I see you are desperately short of free space on C: ; Windows likes at least 10% free there as elbow room. As it stands nothing could be swapped out to disk!

Now I'm not sure that's the cause of your problem but it definitely needs attention regardless.

If that doesn't help, make a new WIndows user on this computer and log into it with that. Test with a new unmodded galaxy there, NOT any existing one. Is that any better?

Hey, thanks for the tips. I cleaned my Windows partition and tried a new user and the latter worked! Guess I'm playing Machine Age under my new Stellaris user then. Thank you very much for the help.

Either your original user profile is bad or corrupted, or there is some app or utility running under it that is getting in the way. To test for the latter , as that user go into Startup Apps and disable everything and reboot. If that user still has this problem then it is broken in some way I'm afraid!
