Crashes, bugs and cheats!

I'm finding version 1.04 ok and after modding some families using a guide i was linked to happily playing away as a duke in south west England (not usually playable).

Firstly i seem to be finding lots of crashes (i have the steam version) and it always seems to be around the time of Jan 3rd just after an autosave. Is anyone else getting this? It may happen other times but its a game freeze and i have to start the task manager to kill the game before reloading the last save.

Also i found a bug which actually in an annoying way helps you out massively.... The king of England is trying to take my county of Somerset off me as he has claims on my 2 best counties. i have found that if i open the message but don't respond (ie end up with a big window open) i can carry on playing as the game doesnt pause and he never comes back for and answer... Whilst its annoying having this window open and moving it out the way all the time its somewhat better than the alternative of going to war with him or giving the county away after i spent ages ploughing money into it. I've found after loading a save not opening his request leads to war so that isn't bugged but as long as you are happy to open and work around the message it could buy you critical time to form other plans.

I have not had any problems but I have not added any patches as my install works smoothly and none of the patched elements are issues for me. That said a lot of people do not like steam at all, I use gamers gate and even though I am a huge Paradox fan if I were forced to use steam I would not have purchased the game

I haven't retested to confirm but I found that if you open the 'hand it over' screen, save, then resign and come back inn, you keep your land and the request is temporarily forgotten. this instead of waiting with a window open while you are trying to play the game

Sorry, but we can't accept any reports on a modded game. If you can duplicate them under vanilla, feel free to post here for tech support issues and in Bug Reports for bugs.

my game isnt modded at all and recently my game has crashed everytime to resign from my game to load another one it crashes to the desktop. This never happened before the patch

In that case I wonder why you post in a thread about a modded game? If you can find another thread here that exactly reflects your problem please post full details in that, otherwise start your own thread please. Thank you.
