Would appreciate any help that can be provided. My game crashes on July 1, 1678 every time. I'm playing in English on a Mac. I'm attaching the settings and exception file from the crash folder and the log. I think it's an English Civil War event that's causing the problem? I'm in a war with England (finally getting to Europe as part of Sunset Invasion!) so perhaps that's why it's effecting me. It's the last event on the log. Any thoughts? I've tried restarting my computer, playing a different save, and changing the game language, but unfortunately no luck. Thoughts?

Any mods involved?

If not please attach here the affected save game file.

Crashes in CYearlyManpowerEffect and CManpowerEffect are a known issue on macOS. this bugreport has more details and further links. In your case it is triggered by the start event of the english civil war. To workaround the crash, you could load your save on Windows or Linux and play past the date of the crash. Alternatively you can melt/de-ironman your save and give england enough manpower to pay the cost of the event. If you have an older save, you could continue from there and might be able to influence the situation or get lucky so that the english civil war doesn't happen or england has enough manpower to pay for the event.

Thanks for flagging that comment chain. It's clearly the same issue (even saw your note there on the English civil war in particular causing the problem). I'm keen to maintain the iron man aspect of the game because I've worked so hard (especially in this patch!) to fight off every European superpower as Aztecs. Do you know if moving to Windows / Linux and progressing the game or reverting to 1.32 will preserve the ironman aspect? If not, I might wait to play for a patched solution

Using windows or Linux should maintain achievements as long as you use the same steam account. But I would recommend that you create an additional copy of your save and store it somewhere else, so that it can't accidentally get overwritten. Then you have something to which you can go back if it doesn't work. You can open the ingame achievement list to make sure that achievements still work on the save.
I don't know if going back to an older version disables achievements, but it will likely influence your save(e.g. countries will lose government reforms or modifiers which don't exist in the previous version) and it might even break it completely.
