It's not crashing when I try to load a game, but when I click to switch over from the normal scenarios to where all the saves are listed. I don't remember marking a character as being of interest as well.

It might be that a save is corrupted or something like it.

Try and rename "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/save games" to "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/old save games"

See if you can click the tab now. If it works, try and start a game and save, and try to access the tab again.
You can also scan through your old saves and look for something suspicious, I believe a 0 KB size savegame could cause issues like this...

So...
Basically, deleting all the 0Mo save games would make it work again?
On the other hand...I have a 14Mb savegame. While the others before were in the 25Mb territory. Does keeping the 14Mo savegame is risky?

There really shouldn't be any 0 MB sized save games. 14 MB is fine though, they are about that size in the beginning.

You can always make backup copies if you don't want to risk losing the saves, until we actually find the cause of the crash

Well....

It goes like this

- A LOT of Apulia savegames, starting from 1067. From 10 to 25Mb
- A LOT of Sicilia savegames, starting from 1081 up to 1091 : 25Mb
- ONE Sicilia savegame, in 1093 : 14Mb
- A LOT of Sicilia savegames, up to 1097 : 0Mb.

Hence why I'm a bit... puzzled about the 14Mb on.

On the other hand, are you telling me that the 0 Mb savegames can be recuperated?

No, they are probably broken, and probably your 14 MB save as well. Try and move them out of the savegame folder and see if you can access the saves tab?

I moved them out of the savegame folder, and could access the saves tab.

Obviously, the only somewhat "up-to-date" file was the autosave, who DID saved correctly.

But then, whenver I wanted to save afterwards, my CPU would still write 0Mb.

Problem solved : Lack of memory space on the partition. That probably explained why the autosaves worked normally, but that I couldn't write new savegames.

Oh well... I hope I could have helped you and my fellow gamers somehow :)

This is what I suspected :)
Perhaps the game should check for disk space before trying to write, and warn the user accordingly?
