I read a lot about multi player crashes, but have yet to learn on my own. Do they really happen that often??? to me it seems if they happen a lot it would ruin the whole experience. How can you avoid this problem?? I'd like to hear any tips you experts :) got.
I'd also like to play multiplayer if anyone is interested. Doesn't it sound like fun?? we can all sit around and start over every 5 minutes. sorry about that i'm a very sarcastic person

depends on the hardware and connection of those involved.

One player fucking around and alt-tabbing to chat with a different friend on AIM, ICQ, and checking out forum posts while his country is at peace, can cause an entire otherwise stable game to repeatedly crash and no one would ever know the cause. I can tell as host, because people who alt tab out come up as latency warnings, but most don't know.

I've had games last 50 years straight that only ended because we were tired, (Most games are played at 1:2 speed), and some that never seemed to be able to get past the first 5 because of someone's malefunction.

So it depends almost entirely on you. If every game you are ever in is lag hell and crashes, it may be your problem, not the groups. Make sure you have alot of available memory. 256 RAM almost a must. Twice as much preferred.

Yeah, i have 128, and i almost never crash, except chatbug.

It all depends on everyone's computers. The host should be the one with the fastest connection and should have a good computer. It is hard to get a game finished if all of the players are not Cable/DSL. AIM and all of those annoying programs should be turned off during the game because they use up part of the computer's so-to-speak attention span.
