This game crashes a lot on my system. I have a Duron 1000 CPU, 128mb RAM , Win98, a Woodoo3 video drive. I have the Italian version 1.05.The game always crashes when some event windows show up and I point the mouse to display the effects. I am playing the campaign with the Ottoman Empire and the window event of the military engineer and the one proposing to appoint a governor always make game crashing when I put the mouse on the second answer. The game crashed also in other circumstances, for example, when I declared war to Mameluke and moved troops to seize Egypt, game crashed 3 times in a row !Sometimes it crashes during assaults. Any suggestions ? This game is great but it is showing up as unplayable.

Most crash problems in non-English versions of EU2 are caused by bad translations in the text.csv file. See if you can get an English version of that file (maybe from the NA 1.05 patch or a friend who has an English version of EU2) and put that in instead of the Italian one you have (your English is obviously good enough).
First make sure you have the latest Italian patch.
