Has this game ever worked on this machine? Or never yet?

Please attach here the latest (ONLY!) game log file, from here:
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Plus, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

The game works stably on the version 249143.

Your Windows 7 SP1 has had no major updates applied since 2016. I'm sure that's the problem here as our games are only ever tested on Windows that is fully patched up!

If you were ever thinking of going to Windows 10 now might ba. great time. Otherwise please run the Windows Update app and apply what majo updates it finds; reboot, run it again, patch, reboot - keep going until fully up to date.
