Creating a New Duchy

I think I understand how to add a new kingdom to the game, but I want to add a new duchy to my existing game. First, is it possible to add a new duchy to the game? And if that's not possible, how do I modify an existing duchy to include different provinces?

It is the same as adding a Kingdom, only in the map list put the tag under the duchy column. In-game the shield might still be surrounded by the King box, but it should say "Duke of...."

Tags are hardcoded to be either a kingdom or a duchy. IIRC all duchy-tags are used already. So you can only swap duchies around you can't create new ones.
