Crusader Kings 3 crashing

My crusader kings closes upon saving the game or auto saving, and I have no idea why. I deleted all my previous saves to see if that would work but it didn’t. It wasn’t doing it yesterday, only today. I also think my game updated so I don’t know if that has affected it somehow.
This happens on brand new games as-well.
Any help would be great.

We have one report that Avast is causing this. If you have that, add ck3.exe to all its exceptions lists, AND report the false positive to them. Thanks!

I don’t have avast, so it can’t be the problem

I downloaded avast and allowed it and it’s now working
