[Crusader Kings II Windows 10] Crash to Desktop (EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005)

Hello, over the last few days I have repeatedly had the game crash to the desktop while playing. Sometimes this occurs sometimes when clicking on characters and titles. The most recent occurrence was when I changed who I was voting for as Emperor of the HRE. This last one occurred on a clean installation of the game and the documents folder, after verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam, and with zero modifications installed. The following error message was in the exceptions.log file in the ck2 logs folder in documents:

######## EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005 at address: 0x0180F443: ACCESS VIOLATION read attempt to address 0x000002A4
Version: Unknown Version

I have attached the entire logs folder as well as some system specifications. Please let me know if I have not provided enough information and need to provide more.

Edit: I should clarify that while on this most recent occurrence the crash happened on patch 2.8.2.1. However, it also occurred on patch 2.8.1.1 as I tried to check if it was unique to the most recent patch.

I had the same issue. What fixed it for me was unstalling the game completely and deleting the crusader kings 2 folder in MyDocuments. Then restarted the computer and re-downloaded and installed the game. I also switched from an extra ssd to the ssd where the OS is, but I don't think this is what made it work.

Hi, sorry I forgot to update my post. I actually managed to fix it by updating my NVIDIA drivers. Thanks anyway for the advice though, it seems a lot of people have this same issue but there is no unique solution which solves it for everyone.
