Here is a fresh reproduction of the same issue after 1.9.6 was released. Zoom in on Transjordan to get the crash.
Sadly it does not reproduce on our Macs and it might not be related to anything on the game side.

I wish I were the only one with this crash reliably happening, but there are a bunch of us on this thread, and everyone I know with a Mac has this issue as well. I wonder are you testing on M-series processor?
@PDX_Sosanna I also see this crash on my M4 iMac with MacOS 15.5 . I just load that attached save, zoom out from the home country and start to zoom into the Levant area, immediate crash.
@AndrewT @Ilya Belkin The team is investigating, however we are stretched very thin right now as people who specialize in Mac support are on vacation right now. We'll ask our contractors to reproduce it on a similar machine and log it for an August patch if possible.

Im having the same issue on my M4 Max. I have created a thread on this forum too. Hope for a solution soon.
Currently, the only workaround I know is to set graphic settings to low preset and "enjoy" the game without visuals (and without it crashing). Seems like I will have to do that until August.
