Crystal Islands is my first map for Cities Skylines 2 based on the breathtaking landscapes of Katan Kyun, Thailand. Featuring ACTUAL flat building areas and spacious layouts, aspiring mayors can unleash their imagination on a grand scale, while the presence of majestic mountains adds a touch of drama to the skyline. From bustling metropolises to serene coastal retreats, Crystal Islands invites players to shape their ideal cityscape against a backdrop of unparalleled natural beauty and endless possibilities.
Even thought the buildable area is listed as only 19%, you'll find that there's actually plenty of building space once you load the map. The intention is to build multiple smaller cities or towns across the area and interconnect them, while still allowing for a sprawling metropolis with minimal landscaping.
