I've had a couple CTDs while not doing anything, other than possibly moving the mouse cursor. I'm not sure if it's related to the initial notification area tooltip popup CTD, but these have happened past the initial situation mentioned.

My error log only contains some sound & file errors (mostly missing or duplicate returns).

Thanks. I never checked my log file before this so didn't know. I assumed that they weren't the cause, but posted just in case.

I'm thinking it's some character event's interaction with the pseudo-dead characters , or something similar that's not normally shown to the player, and it's difficult to pinpoint.
 
It has to be some character event, or an AI nation's event, that involves one of the new bugs in the beta update. Such as the living dead indicator on some characters or the other character-related CTD?? Hopefully it disappears when some other fixes (hopefully) happen.
