CTD on annexation of SU

This is the first time I really had a major CTD in HOI.

This is for version 1.03b.

I was playing as Italy. I took over Germany, Austria, Czech, Yugo, Albania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Romania, and Poland.
I am currently in a war (with the Allies) against the Soviets. I have captured ALL VP provinces. When I select "Annex", the game CTD.

The file is now about 13MB.

I sent the files to my friend to see if he can annex them, it CTD for him too.

Is this just a corrupt savegame, or do I have a bigger problem?

2 Bugs here, the expanding save game problem and the Annex final combatant bug. Both should be fixed with 1.04.

The expanding save, yes. Details in a sticky thread in the GD forum.
The Annex, I don't think so but you could check in the Bug forum and see if there is anything in the do it yourself bug fix thread on it. I know one way to extend the game would be to DOW your ally.

But why not try the new patch?

Patch: I don't know. I would just rather stick with 1.03b.

File size: That really doesn't matter to me.

Allies: I am not offically in an alliance with them. The Soviets declared war on Japan (Democratic) and the Allies DOW on the SU. Later, I DOW on the SU to get the territory and because the border defense was low.

File size will be a problem and may cause a crash if you let it get too big.
