Hello,

I bought the game on GamersGate. I'm playing CK2 on my personal PC fine.
I also installed it on another computer at my girlfriend's, and it runs OK.
Now, I have it installed on a third computer (at work), and this time, it won't launch.

This is what happens :
- I run the launcher. I click the 'Start CKII' button. Music starts to play, the CK2 hourglass icon shows for a few seconds, then I have a crash to desktop : 'CK2.exe encountered a problem...' etc.

This is what I already tried myself :
- Uninstall, manually remove the remaining files in the directory and in MyDocuments.
- Clean reinstall.

This is my DxDiag :

I'm not certain but I believe your graphics chip might be to weak for the game. You've got an integrated Intel Graphics Chip and those are not made for gaming and could always be slightly problematic.

You could try updating your drivers and run the game with the lowest possible graphics and in windowed mode instead of full screen but it's highly probable that won't solve anything. Integrated graphic processors have got a fairly small amount of dedicated memory which makes them unsuitable for gaming.

The game could also crash like this if you lack the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package. Try installing to make sure you've got all the required software needed.

Thank you for these informations.
I tried what you said, to no avail. Funny, because I played Mount & Blade on that PC, and I figured CK2 were to be less glutonnous in resources.
I'm not that much surprised, though.

Thank you again.

Just to state that strategy games usually take more out of a machine than a 3d game. CKII and EU3 specially as they are designed to use all they can get out of the graphic card so the game can run fast.
