My current game CTDs on October 1st 1106 no matter what I do. I've tried reducing the game speed and lowering my windows color depth, but they haven't helped at all. I'm going to try a complete reinstall, but I have very low hopes of it working. Is there anything else I should try that isn't immediately obvious?

This is almost identical to a CTD I had in EU2 playing as Brandenburg in the AGC-EEP. It happens in the exact same way at the exact same date every time. If the reinstall doesn't work, I'm going to try playing as a different Count, and if I hit the same error I'll post here again.

I'd really appreciate any help. I'm getting so sick of this. :(
 
What is happening on that date?
Do you have any mods installed, or have you edited any files?
What patch are you playing on?

1. Nothing is happening to my knowledge.
2. No mods, no edit.
3. It has crashed on both 1.01 and 1.04 on the same date in the same fashion.
 
So thi swas a game started under 1.01 then patched to 1.04?
And you need 1.04A from this site.

Yes, and I meant 1.04a, sorry. :p
EDIT: Although I patched it after it crashed in 1.01 in hopes it would fix itself, so it has crashed at the same point in both 1.01 and 1.04a.
 
Well I am not supprised an old version would continue to crash in the new version.
I am afraid I will recommend that you start a new game under 1.04a.

Yeah I already did. No crash, plus I'm doing significantly better. :D Already broke away from Byzantium and crowned myself King of Bulgaria! I hope the crash never happens again. :p
