CTD on startup since 1.05

Hi guys, long time fan of paradox games, but my heart is broken trying to fix this. Since 1.05 CK2 keeps crashing on startup. No error message, just CK2 has stopped working. I have the steam version, I've redownloaded it, and updated my graphics card drivers (GTX580). I'm on a WIN 7 x64 machine with 6gb ram. Anyone come across this issue? I love the game, but cant play it since 1.05

Clear your cache, usually solves CTD problems in paradox games.

Outside that, try reinstalling the update.


Wait, does CK2 even have a cache? I've never had a CTD with it so I've never checked...


EDIT: In any case, I'd recommend deleting local content with steam, clearing out the folder of any giblets, and reinstalling entirely clean.

ok ill give that another shot. I reinstalled before but maybe if I delete the entire CK2 folder it'll work.
