ctd....or not

I'm having a problem with EU2. When I try to start the game it shoves me back to the desktop after the opening movie. The game hasn't crashed however, it still loads and I can hear the music play, it just doesn't allow me to maximize the view.

Now, I've had this problem before and I solved it but I can't remember what I did that last time. It was simple though, I remember as much, thats probably also why I don't remember what i did.

I've tried switching resolution, adjusting my screen to 16 bit graphics, renamed the avi-folder and all those classic paradox solutions.

Anyone who has had this problem?

Ok, I've found the solution I was looking for. It was simple, I had to reboot my computer after the installation. I feel like an idiot for asking for help with this. :wacko:

Reboot and try again is the mantra for most tech support people.
Mine tends to be rename the AVI folder.
