I'm playing Iron Cross (1.01rev3) with Arsenal of Democracy (1.06b1). In my game as the USA, I get CTD in mid-March 1939. I have reloaded the autosave and oldautosave several times, but the CTD recurs.

Iron Cross is compatible to patch 1.05 of AoD. We haven't tested with the beta patch 1.06. Maybe this is the problem
