CTD problem specific savegame

I think my current CK game is corrupt, as it always seems to die in 1267.

I believe the problem has something to do with the Muslims having taken Rome. (These things happen when the ruler of all other Catholic peoples is off doing his own thing.)

Is there any way I can review the save file so that I can isolate what's causing the issue? Is there a save game debugger?

I can post the error message if it'll help.

You can open the save-game with Wordpad


But if the game always CTD's on the same date, then this save game is probably broken beyond repair.

But post the error-message anyway

Oh I've been viewing and sometimes modding the save game in TextPad, so that's not an issue, although it may be an ultimate cause.

I'll post the error when I get home tonight.

Well nuts! I can't copy and paste the windows error log and the file it was supposedly written to isn't there.

Here's the pesky save fwiw.

(looks for and can't find file attachment function.)

OK then. Ignore that.

The thing dies on or about May 17 1267, although I can't find the date anywhere in my save file.

Anyone know any thing that might cause this?

Probably a corrupted character, not much you can do about it I am afraid.

OK, went to a backup and history turned out better anyway.

Oh well.
