OMG !!!! I crash to desktop about once every hour or so. I had this similar problem with HoI until patch 1.05. I tried the beta patches for EU II, but I CTD every time the game loaded. I am using the patch 1.07 now. Had uninstall the beta patch. My system only does this on Paradox games. Anyone out there know why and if there is anything I can lessen the probability of it occurring?

Ctd everytime the game loaded? Does it mean it crashes everytime you want to start a new game or load game? I also have this problem but I can not careless since loading a new game is cheating anyway. It becomes a barrier for me to cheat.

You may want to try renaming folder avi in EU2 directory into avi_back (or something else). This will skip the intro, which often causes problem.

If you load a game with a nation that doesn't exist in that game, it CTD.

Let me know if you are still having problems after renaming your AVI folder as suggested.
