Ctd

I'm playing HOI2D Arma 1.2,

I've had this problem with two seperate games now; everything goes fine for the inter-war years, then in 1940 the game suddenly crashes to the desktop. Until last week, I hadn't had any CTD's, yet all of a sudden the last two games I've started have had this problem. In the case of my UK game, it crashes without fail on June 2nd or 3rd 1940. My Germany game proceeded perfectly well until December 1940 when it too began to crash. No matter how many times I reload, the same problem occurs.

Is there anything I can do to solve this?

I can't see why my computer would have a problem with the game but here are the specs anyway:
Vista
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.5 Ghz
1 Tb Hard drive space
4 Gb Ram
Geforce 9800GT

Sounds like you've got a nice rig, probably not an issue with your PC.

My suggestions:
1. double check that your sound and video drivers are up to date; not likely but doesn't hurt to check.
2. While playing, set autosave on to monthly. When you get close to a known crash, set game speed down to slow, or below normal. See if that allows you to get past the ctd. If it does, then set the speed back up. Not a solution, but a tool for diagnosing problem.

Do your other paradox games run ok on this PC that has HOI2?
