I just bought a new computer and installed HOI2 + Doomsday + Armageddon fully patched. I installed the new nations mod but when I try to load a scenario the game CTDs on me. What did I do wrong?

The vanilla version will run but whenever I install the 1.2 patch it crashes too, even without the new nations mod.

If vanilla Armageddon is working then the patch installer might have a problem. Sometimes it's not able to properly detect the Armageddon game folder and reverts back to a default path. The other option is it creates an Armageddon subfolder in your Armageddon folder.

How far did it load before crashing?
Error message ?

when I select a campaign and click start game it crashes and doesn't even go to the loading screen.

I tried installing it on a different computer and it worked fine. Then I compressed the doomsday folder moved it to this computer and it still crashed.
any ideas?

I'm basically having the same issue with CTD.
It went down like this.

1. DL and installed HoI 2: Doomsday from Gamersgate and launched it. It CTD when I clicked start.
2. DL and installed Armageddon also from Gamersgate and launched it. Same result.
3. DL and installed Arma patch 1.2 and got the same result.
OS Windows 7

I will try installing it on my Laptop with Vista OS.

EDIT: Might I add that AoD 1.05 works fine on the same computer where HoI 2 Arma keeps CTDing!?

Do not install Hoi2 game into the default path in c:\program files - you're begging for trouble then. Use a path/folder like c:\games\Hoi2 or similar for the game. If already installed you may need to start it with administrator rights and/or WinXP compatibility mode.
