Yup, first idea is to rename your AVI folder to AVI_back.

Forgot to mention I did that. Also turned off music, cleaned my saves using the parser program. I've also read posts regarding the CTD´s to see if there's anything else that comes to mind. It seems to be getting worse/more frequent. Initially I managed to play 1936 to 48 without problems, in my second go around I couldn't get past Oct 1944, and now I crash in Feb 1941. Apart from the crashes it's a great game. One more thing. When I played all the way through it was the 36 to 48 scenario. My problems have happened in the 39-48 scenario (Blitzkrieg). That shouldn't matter though?

Could be a bug somewhere try 1.04 and see if it persists.

Amen!, Brother Duck! Amen. :)

Great news.

Oh no, it happened again. This time it's at a specific game time, Nov 7 23:00 hrs 1944 is when it crashes. I have a save that's from 6 hrs earlier (game time) that I can load up and without me doing anything it crashes at the exact same time. Tried turning off music and blink, no change. Changed res to lower, no change. Playing as UK, have just annexed Spain, and the last log in the log file is"attacked by german aircraft over Bilbao". What to do? Wife will be back Thursday so I would like to get as much played as possible before then.

Sounds like the USA election bug did not get fixed in 1.04. :(

There is a work around listed in the do it yourself bug fixes thread stickied in the bug forum. Look for a post by me in there.

That did it. Thanks. Same conceptual data problem, when playing the 1941 scenario as UK you start with zero resources or DI's and Spain becomes part of the axis immediately. I changed the scenario setting to have 2000 of each resource and 10 DI's and Spain is closer to the Allies so there's a chance of keeping them neutral. Are there any "official" values that I could update my files with?

Thanks for your help. Without this forum HoI could be a frustrating experience, but this way I get to enjoy a truly great game with just some minor hicups.

Glad you are back in bussiness!

As for the other problem of lacking data, please report that in the Bug forum.
