why was this game re-released so soon, the last several change-logs are showing a significant amount CTD's getting fixed (which most will agree is the worse kind of bug in any application), the last change-log fixed several CTD's...... is this what people meant when they said that this game has now reached the point that the company wanted to aim for..... code that just crashes....

so much for quality assurance from paradox this time.

what does others think of the current state of stability of this re-released version!!!! (emphasizing stability here, not feature set)

Not perfect when I played on Saturday, but not particularly bad either. With the game autosaving every turn I'm not particularly afraid of CTDs anyway. Since none of the CTDs I've seen are game-enders, I can't really agree that they're the worst kind of bug. Performance slowdown and flaky interface is a lot more annoying than having to launch the game again on rare occasion.

Yeah, the saving grace for the CTDs is the autosave feature. You can pretty much just restart and pick up where you left off. I wouldn't put much blame if any on paradox by the way. Kerberos is the developer.

Most CTD`s fixed came from the new race. I streamed for 7 hours yesterday and only had a single CTD.

Iv'e had about 4 CTDs and played 10 hours or so according to steam. Most of it and at least 2 of the CTDs played without the new race present.

Also had one game broken on turn 100ish by a CTD when pressing end turn impossible to avoid through the autosave (I count that as 1 even if I tried 5 times or so)... That sucks. :/

This was all before yesterdays patch, so hoping I did see some of those CTDs and that it's fixed now.
