Twice today I've had CTDs during the GC. I'm playing Portugal, and
both crashes were shortly after the year changed (in January). I loaded the autosave and was able to continue.

The only other program running on my PC was InnoculateIT Personal Edition.

The game does still crash. It's hard to say from your circumstances what the problem is. I'm glad you could keep playing from autosave.

I'm moving the thread over to the support forum. Maybe someone has experience that InnoculateIT makes EU more likely to crash.

As a general note, EU II seems much more stable than EU I. However...

Yep - try disabling the anti virus whilst playing. It worked for me to close everything in the background. See the "running problems" thread in this forum.
