I need a little help with my game. I would be very thankfull for any help. :)

I tried to answer the questions in the sticky, but don't be surprised if something looks weird... Also when answering, please keep in mind that I'm an extreme newbie on everything that regards computers...

OS & build/SP: Windows 2000 Professional (5.0, Build 2195)

Computer, CPU & speed: Couldn't find it

RAM: 126MB

Free HDD space: 26.8GB

Video (brand, model, driver, memory): Intel (R) 82810E Graphics Controller v.6.13.0001.3169

Sound (brand, model, driver): SoundMAX Digital Audio v.5.12.0001.3025

DirectX Version: 4.09.0000.0904

Other:

My game has worked fine so far, until I got CTDs when trying to load the game, along with a message telling me that the virtual memory was empty. After some assistance, I managed to change the virtual memory to minimal 512 and maximum 1000. I started a game on the morning, and continued in the evening. Then the next day, when I tried to load the game, the game crashed, without even showing the loadbar. I tried several scenarios with various countries, but nothing worked except Fantasia. I was playing 1.09, BTW. I had another folder, called MyMod where I had my information about the mod I was making for myself. The files was not made in such a way yet that they changed the game. However, the game worked fine in this folder. I tried to uninstall the game and then install it again. The installation did not affect the MyMod folder. When I used version 1.02, that was on the CDs, everything went smooth, but then I installed 1.09, and BOOM went the game, having the exact same problem. This time, the MyMod folder did not work either.

Thanks in advance... :)

Your specs as given look very low to run the game.

Let's look at what you have as well as provide some standard advice.

Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.
