One thing I've noticed is how cultures already change pretty fast, in 30 or 50 years cultures change, but in holy wars, hot damn!

I noticed for instance that one of the Muslim spanish states had invaded Brittany, and so I invaded to take it back. In the 10 or so years between the conquest and my reconquest, 2 provinces had already been converted to Islam and 2 of the provinces had already become Andalusian. Because these provinces were catholic though, even though I installed Breton counts and dukes there, in the last 60 years only one of those provinces had changed back to Breton.

I noticed the same thing when I was playing as Ireland, I invaded Spain (which had been completely overrun by Muslim armies, which seems to happen every game), and within only a few years several provinces were Irish.

Is there a bug in the MTTH of culture change where the religion is different? There must be, I think the code meant to say ONLY allow culture change if the religion is the same as yours, but the code does the opposite and instead of preventing it, it speeds up the process 100x.

Observed this too. Usually can change the culture and religion of every province you conquer within 20 years. MTTH or chance of success needs a tweak. No biggie.

It should not be anywhere near as prevalent anyway; history is full of examples of people who homogenised hybrid cultures or were obsorbed entirely in to the new lands they conquered. Not vice versa. Normans everywhere for example.
