On the Stellaris wiki there is a site for portrait modding, including a quite lengthy process of creating a fully unique animated custom one, but wouldn´t it be much easier to just modify an existing portrait? Has anyone done that before and is able to help me a bit?
My main problem is, that the ingame files of existing portraits are all over the place (several animations, many different locations, cross references, etc) and it is quite easy to miss something whereas downloadable mods are a .mod data with which I have zero expierence working with. Is there a way to extract the .dds out of them?
