Welcome to 'Dad's Army'. I am a great fan of the great British comedy series and I have decided to base my UK AAR that I have decided to do around the characters. I doubt that I am violating any copywrite laws but I'd like to just say that I admire the Dad's Army series and I hope that nobody will thirst for my blood for doign my AAR around the characters from the acclaimed comedy show.
Lights, Camera, Action..........................

'DAD'S ARMY'

DAcast.jpg

The year is 1939, Mr Mainwaring, manager of 'Swallow Bank' and pillar of the local community, is making his way purposefully down a nearly empty village street. He passes the local butchers and gives a pompous wave to Mr Jones the butcher who is busy opening his shop. Mr Mainwaring continues with his journey after being saluted by Mr Jones and next comes to pass the local undertakers. The thick black curtains fail to hide Mr Frazer and once again our Mr Mainwaring stops to greet this man who replies with a scowl and a short sharp phrase. By now Mr Mainwaring has reached 'Swallow Bank', it's large oak doors firmly locked shut. He glances up at the thick bronze sign that reads, Swallow Bank, Mr Mainwaring. Mainwaring stares proudly up at his name etched into the bronze slab and becomes momentarily lost in his thoughts. He is only brought out of this trance when a young man who appears to have barely left his teens pops up at his shoulder practically singing,
"Hello Mr Mainwaring".
The unsuspecting portly man that was Mr Mainwaring jumped with fright and landing upon the front step of the bank's entrance was brought unceremoniously to the ground. He quickly picked himself up, retrieved his jet black bowler hat from the ground and flicked his right arm in the direction of the young man who was presently dusting Mr Mainwaring's shoulder.
"Stupid boy" muttered Mainwaring who was now punching his bowler hat through that had turned inside out after his having landed on it.

LOL, an AAR based on an old british comedy. That's a first.... Good start, and good luck. Maybe you could throw in a few Monty-Python esque events and such.

Mm... Monty Python.... ;)

Yes, definitely good start.
