I was reading some comments on how Daenerys is passive, but for me, the reverse was true. In about five years, she attacked and lost to King Joffrey, who now has her imprisoned. Stannis was also imprisoned after his failed war. King Robb also was imprisoned by Joffrey, as was Robin Arryn. Several minor rebellions later, as a custom daughter of the Boltons, I decided to assassinate Robb in prison, which I succeeded. Suddenly, this happened:

This is only my first game with the mod, but what happened!? Even Dorne and the Reach are Lannister! Has all this happened to anyone else? I'm currently using the most recent AGoT version with all CKII DLC. No other mods except my portraits. Meanwhile, Margaery has been in hiding ever since the war started and has never come out. I think she's stuck.

Edit: Hmm, weird, now it's all broken apart like it once was. Maybe everything being Lannister, was a temporary event giving Lannister full control for a certain period of time? No clue.

It says Lannister all over the map because you're viewing the dynastic mapmode, they hold the Iron Throne and because of that whole Westeros is labeled with their name.

In second picture it's all broken-up because when the mega-war triggers all the Lords Paramount get a temporary "independence" so they can choose whom to support.

Also for gameplay purposes Joffrey is of the Lannister dynasty not Baratheon. This is to prevent weird non-canon issues of Stannis or Renly joining wars on Joffrey's side.

Edit: As for Dany I believe she has a choice of either staying in Slaver's Bay or leaving immediately for Westeros after conquering Meeren iirc. Its one of several alt history decisions in the mod, the AI can choose to go either way. Aegon the Conqueror has one where instead of taking over Westeros and sets his sights east on Essos.

Aye, this is because of the MegaWar events. Basically, when the Realm is at peace, everyone becomes vassals of the Iron Throne. It's only when a major civil war breaks out that the Lords Paramount of each of the 7 Kingdoms become independent, allowing them to join the rebellion, join the loyalists, or stay neutral.

Okay, now it all makes sense. When Mance Rayder's wildlings invaded, I had a choice of joining him or the Iron Throne (lead by Mace Tyrell at the time). I wanted to screw around, so I joined Mance, and now he's on the Iron Throne. Mance won fairly easily, although it was a long war, so I got to see the factions flip sides a lot.

I had her reform the entire empire of Ghiscar in one I played a R+L=J Jon on the Iron Throne and then 2 of her 3 sons died trying to tame her spare dragons and then she died and left the throne to her gay sickly remaining son who soon died leaving a 2nd empire to a 50 year old Jon Stark-Targ.
That playthrough was wild.
What do you even do with 2 Empires on separate sides of the map? Lol

Ask Charles V.
You split them.
