Step by step DAIM is extending with its next releases and so its time for the next DAIM

DAIM United Kingdom

- expect a Great Britain where a sealion should be no cakewalk
- expect a Great Britain which gets help from its Commonwealth allies
- expect a more determined Australia
and expect some naval invasions.

This was done without AI Cheats and only by strict AI optimizing.
I also improved the files for Canada, South Africa , Australia , New Zealand and Oman.

Install instructions
  • First download and unzip the DAIM Framework into your main HOI Folder.
  • Then download and unzip DAIM United Kingdom into your main HOI Folder
  • you'll have to confirm overwriting a few files
  • you can use any of the DAIM sets (like Germany or Russia) on top of the framework if you like
Thats all

  • If you want to use all DAIM AIs ( Germany , Japan , Italy, China,USA, Russia and the Commonwealth)
then you can download the DAIM Bigpack Compilation instead and unzip it into your main HOI Folder
Restore
  • If you want the original files back then download the Backup

FYI Spocky you do realize by having ENG and USA both doing d-day instead of one providing support to the other will cause what I call the checker board effect and really mess up supplies etc.....

Still looking over your changes

We didn't have such problems (not yet, perhaps), we'll worry about it when it happens. ;)

Well give you a scenario

USA invades Brest
England invades Caen

all is fine till they link up. Then unless you have the exp force ratios setup correclty they are going to have a tug of war on who controls the front. More than likely it will be the USA who takes control but if ENGs exp force ratio is not setup correctly they will have units lingering that are not assigned. In edition even though the USA has control of the front all the units in English territory must be supplied by England and all the troops in USA territory must be supplied by the USA. So lets assum the Germans launch a counter attack and take Caen from England and it was the only British controled port but they had bubble hexes internally. So what happens now is all the troops in the ENG hexes are not cut off from supply but the troops in USA hexes are still in supply.

Easy fix to this is to pick who you want to launch the invasion (would assume USA) and have ENG assign like 50% of his army as exp forces to the USA. The USA would then launch the initial invasion and ENG should start sending in support troops.

Believe me I seen this enough times which is why I made the AI the way I did.

WHEN England and USA are landing parallel in France ( which is not often ) and one nation moves its forces into an area of the other nation than this forces are getting assimilated by nation1 because of the expeditionary force bug

What expeditionary force bug? Please elaborate.
The AI somehow manages to transform expeditionary corps into own troops. When reloading a game as the UK in 1942/43 you'll usually find a significant number of divisions that should be foreign (like "1st Canadian Armoured Division"), but they're listed as being British. Paradox is informed about it, it's probably an issue with merging/creating corps, on one point the true nationality gets lost.

Yes this is true. Ai can sometimes steal your expeditionary divisions but however it don't do this often. Bigger bug is that that Ai can change your exp. forces. So for example i send for Ai nine divisions in one army but ai very often change to (example) five and four separated divisions so this four don't have commander...Ai shouldn't be able to do such things, when i send them 12 divisions than it should stay 12 divisions

typical scenario: UK gets an Exp. Force from Australia in Plymoth loads them into a transport and land in France . When the divisioon appears in France its 100% British .

Ok, I will follow up on this thanks guys,

EDITED: Do any of you guys have a saved game of before and just after this happens? Would like both. If so email it to shadowdm@comcast.net
