I'm not getting the daim-installed message after starting a game, indicating that the daim-install has failed. I should mention that I've installed the HOI2-Armageddon Anthology disc, rather than installing HOI2:Doomsday and Armageddon via Gamersgate. Even changing the installation-folder from paradox/armageddon to paradox/doomsday before installing the whole Armageddon game changed nothing, in this regard. I should also add that I installed CORE-for-Aramgeddon as well, which worked fine. Would installing CORE beforehand(which is only a moddir) foul up the DAIM-installation at all?

Thanks

That's the point. I don't know how CORE is installed and works in detail, but DAIM+CORE isn't going to work anyway (different setup, IDs, ...). It might work to install DAIM on an ARM+CORE installation and to play the standard scenarios then (without the CORE moddir), but even that might cause problems.

The bottom line is: As long as the "DAIM installed" events don't come up, the installation didn't work at all or has created a hybrid which is likely to cause problems sooner or later (some files might have been overwritten while others weren't).

Thanks for mentioning this. I'd wrongly assumed that since the CORE team had referred to their mod as a "moddir" that CORE would now be like the AGCEEP moddir for Paradox's Europa Universalis 2 game, in that it would be a totally separate install, not affecting the original game, which could itself be modified in quite a different way.

In actual fact, when I reinstalled and checked again, I did indeed find messages in the lower "message-box/log-file" where it said that DAIM had been installed for various countries. I'd instead assumed that big pop-up events-messages would appear instead, signalling that DAIM had been installed. My mistake.

Well, I'd better get on to playing both mods(one after the other, that is).

That depends on your message settings alone. ;)
