Well, thats exactly why i made this post here in the first place.....

But i want to continue my old save game. To be able to save the game and to continue a session later on is a feature of the game. So it should be possible. Or made possible. Any suggestions?

Patches are not just about fixing problems, but also adding or utilizing features. This sometimes requires changes to scenario or external game files that make old saves incompatible with new patches, but even in case that the old game loads it is highly recommended to start a new scenario instead as some features could not work as they should.
The only proper way to continue your old game is to downgrade to 1.00 which option seems to be problem for Steam users, but I have no solution for that.

Hey. I just installed the hotfix and when I press the + button on parallel or serial production it adds ten. So I can only build ships/planes/divisions either 1 at a time or 11 at a time with nothing in between. Same with serial, its either 1 in a row or 11 in a row. I did not have this problem with 1.01 before the hotfix.

I have experienced this - but only after alt-escaping from fullscreen to the desktop - then resuming the game. Reloading has always sorted it so I assume it is related to Windows and / or the keyboard in some way.

I am beyond ANNOYED! I deleted all of my savegame files from 1.0 and decided to start again for 1.01 and that worked. Until now anyway now I can't load at all, NOT to mention mods don't work at all, I can only play Vanilla or Full. Even Iron Cross doesn't work... Well, here is my picture anyway any help or answers would be nice. I will admit I'm no computer genius and it could be somehow my fault I dunno...

I think martin should include a pop-up on the patcher that warns about the save game issue since people clearly are not reading the release notes that says old saves are not compatible.

Are you using other then English language? There was an issue in most other languages that could corrupt the save-game (such saves can be fixed manually in a text editor).
There is a new patch (1.01.1 - see the stickied thread) that addresses the problem.

Which mods doesn't work? I know that KR works for sure. What is the problem with Iron Cross? Iron Cross developers have released a patch few weeks ago that fixed some compatibility issues, but in any case it would be best to post a note at IC sub-forum about the problems you have.
