Okay the problem was I copied the wrong map files over the second time around -_-'
Hmm, supply is going to need a massive reworking I think, AoDs supply system and Darkest Hour's map is going to equal soviet troops at 3% effiency at China.
Josip do you have msn or facebook?
Hmm where's infrastructure levels kept for the 1936 scenario.

And no not historically, actually look at the Russian side of the border, while there are *some* difficulties for Russia to fight a protracted war 6000 miles away by rail never was it that bad. If ESE is up around 60% it would be reasonable not 5% as seems to be the average.
The trains siberian railway especially in 1936 was decent and geared towards supplying the Soviet Far East and they were amply capable at fighting the Japanese in mongolia and in Operation August Storm without significant infrastructure improvements that I can see (or would need to happen in game).
What I'm seeing is supply efficiency so low that I would lose defensive battles.
On a related note the far east troops have 1936 and 1939 troops. Hmm, I wonder if there's an easier way to fix all that quickly.
I'll start work on the trans-siberian.
e:
"We have to adjust the AI files, events, and replace DH division models with AOD models (in the scenario)."
So of this what remains and what could we do individually?
supply_dist_mod = 1.2000 to the scenario file for most major countries gets almost normal supply maps, and making up more or less for the increased province count. This way is far far faster than editing everysingle infra province in the world, and has less unintended consequences.
Throw in a few quick fixes to Siberian railway to be 60 infra the entire way (as it is in AoD) and you should have proper representation of supply lines.
I think I got infrastructure mostly redone and did some fiddling with the /1936/[countryname].csv files to add 1.20 supply distance to each somewhat important country. G20+Minors who do crap.
Infrastructure increased in Alot of places, it was 10% in many unsuitable for AoD gameplay as the AI is programmed to avoid those places and many of which were put in unsuitable spots like places in the USA. Permafrost glaciers like North Russia are fine, but islands? The AI will never take them, raised to 20% hopefully AI does stuff with it.
China's infrastructure raised from Unplayable to Suck.
Japan's brought back to AoD levels (100% from 40% average).
Alot of tinkering in Russia, mainland USA and Canada and the Americas in general, Europe seems mostly fine, low priority.
Okay, Josip, be sure to merge your latest changes with these and basically the game is playable from a mechanics perspective, infrastructure fixed.
TO BE DONE: A thorough comparison of AoD's resources on a nation by nation basis and add missing resources, at this point after seeing how much work this is I am not going to go and REMOVE resources if they happen to produce more then their AOD vanilla counter part.
Included is adjusted scenario files for each nation and the modified province.csv file from db.
Since its the DH "in theory" the game should be playable if events are finished, tomorrow I'll look into more resources.
For AI files, maybe just use the DH for military stuff and AoD for build queues and research?

I'm finishing up on the events. You can take AI files if you want. You can find DH map with province IDs in the "modding documentation" folder of your DH installation. To compare IDs with AOD, I recommend this site: http://maps.ederon.net/hoi2iom.aspx

Holland, UK and Canada now produce an excess of rares, but there are still some countries that run out of materials. Namely, Baltic states and Communist China. I guess they don't have merchant fleets to import overseas? We could probably add some resources to those nations.

We should fix the Chinese starting scenario back to something closer to AoD vanilla, there seems to have been some changes in DH in comparison... Also remember to compare China to recent versions of AoD which reduced the IC in much of China.
As for Ai, I am not entirely convinced thats the way to go. I think AoD military files too, but copy over ai stuff relating directly to specific provinces such as defend or attack XXXX, ect.
Also, the terrain map... ugh they put mountains everywhere... that will have a serious effect on ai's abilities to fight, we might have to do an overhaul. (some places had mountains removed or changed to hills or forests for ai effectiveness reasons) Anyhow this will take some thinking to figure where needs to changed.
Even the history doesn't matter so much as just the game play, around 40% ESE is needed in most cases to fight properly, in here its 3% without changes. But its fixed.
Weren't those some special troops, to represent their more advanced equipment?
In theory... But we're using AoD vanilla as our target as to what to change things back to. Depends what they are there.

I'll look into it.
Wow nice to see that you guys are making real progress! Hopefully the DH team doesnt mind that this work?? For other AoD modding teams it would be nice if there was something akin to the interactive HoI2 map available, or at minimum a DH map with province IDs available online for quick event conversion etc. Keep up the good work!
Sooner or later Id like to see either this or the E3 map become a fully working main map through a AoD patch! (fingers crossed) That indeed is the future

Beware not to make unrealistic changes to a well made map! All the mentioned nations should be able to trade with all Europe+Africa+Asia by land-trade if I'm not mistaken. IF a nation lacks realistic trading-possibilities it's better to give them more shipping. (IMHO all nations should have about 20 ships minimum + perhaps 40 extra for island-nations + 40 extra for nations with colonies. Then they can be given 1 ship for each 10 000 tonnes of their merchant-fleets.) /Mattias

I'm skeptical that the AI especially if its on a tight budget would be able to effectively trade to meet ends meet and besides I've already more or less reverted the majority of nations to their AoD numbers anyways ^_^
