I have been unable to play my game for a couple days now. I am constantly told I have a "Database Mismatch error." IS this something to do with my computer, or my game? If I ignore the error, sometimes the game will load, but crash thirty seconds in. It is rather unpleasant. . .

The reported cause for this was having paratroopers loaded on transport planes when the save was made, this should have been fixed under 1.03.

I suspect the save game you are trying to load was started under 1.02.

I've just uninstalled HoI, re-installed and installed 1.03b. When I try to start a new 1936 game I get a "Database Mismatch" error when the scenario is being read.

Did you guys have any mods installed at any time?

I didn't. But, I found a solution. Not a perfect one, but a working one.

I uninstalled again. Then I opened the main folder for Paradox games, and deleted the entire HoI directory.

After a re-install of game and patch, it worked again. :)

Yup that would do it, some times you must also clear your registry files as well. See the uninstall link in the self help guide for further instructions.

Glad to see it is working for you now though. :)

database mismatch

i got one of those errors once too. no paras involved, but it was a very wierd game. there were some provinces in central europe full of trapped russians and i think i was trying to move a plane over them or something. hard to remember. i've only had that error occur when the game has gotten very bizarre.

All info helps thanks.

You guys should post a summary of this stuff in the bug forum.
