Day Night Cycle

I just wondered whether it is possible to mod the day-night-cycle, or not? Is it hardcoded? And if not, is it even possible to change the day-night-cycle in-game? A possible use could be to stop earths rotation after x nukes have been dropped, thus plunging one side of our precious blue planet in permanent darkness...
This was just a thought that came to me the other day. Just out of curiosity!

Sounds pretty hardcoded.


You'll need lotsa nukes to do that though. I vote for the cat conspiracy we saw in Futurama
