Okay my next suggestion

I would do this.

1. Save any saved games in a special place.
2. Uninstall everything via the control panel.
3. Physically delete the 3 folders.
4. Install Armageddon Only.... Note the directory that it is in.
5. Note the Checksum when running the game. If it is VBLV you have 1.2. If not you need to install the 1.2 patch.
6. Once the 1.2 patch is done (if needed) then copy the entire installation folder to a place like Armageddon12Backup
7. Extract all of the files in the 1.3 RAR file directly into the folder in 4 above.
8. Game should run.. it says 1.3 Beta Jan... checsum (dvjn)

Now if you want the other games... install them but install them in a different folder than the Armageddon install...

I suspect the GG bundle may not give you a standalone Arma like the Anthology disc does; you may need to install Arma over DD just as if you had bought them separately. Usually the 'milestone' message means you are trying to run Arma without the required Doomsday files or you installed a DD patch over Arma or vice-versa.

Thank you jdrou, your suggestion worked indeed. Armageddon has to be installed into the Doomsday folder. I´m still at a loss why , earlier in this thread, it was stressed that it was to be installed in a seperate folder. And that even seemed to work for some people.

Armageddon that comes with Anthology is a stand-alone. Which means that it doesn´t need Doomsday.

Armageddon that is bought from GamersGate is not a stand-alone. That version needs to be installed on top of Doomsday.

Yes, the original poster had the Anthology and people were responding to that situation; that is why it is best to create a new thread with your own info instead of saying 'I have the same problem' in an existing thread.

Also note that the patch called HoI2DDArmageddonPatch1_2.exe will (with the Anthology stand-alone) try to patch into C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday.

You must switch this to C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon.

If you use the "manual browse" that comes with the patch it will try to install into C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon\Doomsday.

You must manually backspace to get rid of the "Doomsday" part so it reads: C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon

Only then will it patch properly.

And if you patched it into C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon\Doomsday, you will get the milestone error if you try to run Doomsday (since you patched Doomsday with an Arma patch). I mention this since I needed to reinstall (after a proper uninstall) and, again, forgot exactly how to do it.

I have now written it into my manual so even "I" will remember months from now.
