Hi guys,

well, once again good work on IGC 1.7c. Playing as a minor, I've noticed the following:

1. After the death of the original sovereign, Genoa gets a new leader every 2 years on the money! Furthermore, there is no message that states that the previous leader died. Every 2 years a new random leader with no traits. Is this wanted?

2. Weird random events. in 1560 or so, I got a random event saying that we've developped a stock market exchange and that now national loans would be 1000 ducats and the interect rates would be halved. Great. Now, in 1610, I got another random message saying that we now developped banks and that the loans were increased to 500 ducats! Huh... Is that normal? I mean, did my available loans just drop to 500 with this great news?

Thanks

I did only work on monarch events, but not on random events. Also I set no specials for Genua, so this should probably be a quirk not unique to the IGC. I don´t know whether Your loans are now limited to 500 again. Would be interested in hearing whether this is so, though. So just save and try! :)

Btw. the merchants thing is not a bug. Genua has the highest merchant frequency of all nations. The value is set to 10 a year. Though they can only hold 6 at a time, the 10 is still not superfluous: This way they can replace sent merchants very fast. :)

Almost forgot: I don´t know whether that strange monarchfile is correct. It is the original one....;)

1. thanks
2. Thanks. don't know how to break it to you, but when you start the game, your merchants replacement frequency is not 10, it is 5. Swear to God!
3. Thanks, I'll try and give you feedback
4. monarchfile?? huh, I just installed your IGC on top of the 'normal' GC, so I do not know what exactly you mean my friend :D

Thanks for your prompt response.

Cheers

#1 You´re welcome. :)
#2. Hmm, the value is 10,08333 whereas Venice has 6,08333 but maybe the 10 doesn´t do more than the 6 ...
#3. Okies
#4. If You did this correctly, this means the old monarchfile for Genua is still active (monarchs.gen in the folder DBmonarchs). Well, we didn´t change *everything*, at least not yet. ;) The monarchs for Genua are the same as in the GC and they indeed change every two years (mostly). I don´t know whether this is historically correct. Someone who´s knowledgeable in the history of Genua should have a look at this....

There we go, I took a loan and the 1000 ducats was the one given. So although the 500 ducats loan option came after the 1000 ducat, the system seem to have kept the highest of both value rather than the chronologically correct one.

Bug or not?

Cheers
