At the moment, these spells provide the biggest headaches in the "Challenging" setting I am playing. And for now I have three specific questions:

1. Is there a notice or ways to see when the AI I am warring with has terramorphed my land? I don't seem to ever catch it as it happens.

2. The AI I am warring with seems to be casting the "Lower the Land" spell a lot, turning land near my capital into water. So I cast "Clean the Land" spell on it, and this does not revert the water into original land, in spite of the spell's description. Is this spell bugged or not applicable in countering "Lower the Land" spell?

At any rate, I was only able to turn the water back into land after researching "Raise the Land" spell.

3. It seems like Special Resources were destroyed even after I reverted the water into land. Obviously, the AI would ruin my empire if he did this to all my Special Resources-spawning hexes. Is there a way to counter this--e.g., make the land immune to terramorphing spells? Obviously, this spell is unbalanced and broken if Special Resources cannot be restored or protected.

This must be new behavior, I've never seen the AI use any of the terrain spells, especially raise/lower land.

"Clean the land" is not applicable here, it fixes terrains affected by Dremer corruption or the "magic land" corruption due to repeated spell casting.

When I've used raise/lower land it has not affected land tiles with buildings placed, so you can protect the terrain with it's special building.

I have seen the AI use terrain spells. I had an AI that cast several Make Barren Land on city tiles that were closest to its border. I was not really obvious at first what was happening. To me it looked like he was casting a spell on my units.
